As a member of the South Simcoe Arts Council I, along with 31 other artists, have been given the opportunity to show my work through the Pop-Up Art Market program.
Pop-up shops are temporary stores that pop-up for a few days to a few months in empty store fronts. Landlords lend their space to business owners for a short period of time and the impact is win-win. The business owner or artist gets the opportunity to try out the space and the neighbourhood to see if it is a viable location to start something more permanent, and the landlord gets their space staged for the community and potential renters to consider it for future use.
We are still in the planning stages, but should be opening within the next couple of weeks.
