Farewell to Paris

Yes, after only a few short weeks, my venture on Paris St comes to an end.

Although my dream of having my own space in which to show my work and teach classes, seemed to be unfolding, many factors have brought reality to light.

With this chapter of my artistic ventures closing, so many more are about to be open.  With several shows and gallery representations on the rise, I remain success driven and excited about the possibilities.

With the warmer weather (eventually coming I’m sure) Plein Air classes are a certainty.  I’m looking forward to setting my easel in a farmer’s field to capture the beauty first hand.

I don’t look at this as a negative, but something I had to experience, even for a short time.  Through this experience I have come to realize what is more important to me as an aspiring artist and teacher.

Stay tuned!  You never know what I’ll be up to.

About Lisa's Palette

"My paintings are often admired for their realistic qualities through the use of light, shadow and colour. Capturing the beauty within the rustic landscapes of my entitled series, 'Farms of Simcoe County,' has become my passion. Keeping my camera close at hand allows me to capture the images as I come across them, while I use my artistic gifts to seek out particular points of interests in these images. Painting on location brings a connection to the subject, through not only sight, but sound and smell as well. My goal is to produce paintings that give the viewer a sense of calmness and relaxation.”
